One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality...
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not toquit?"
His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and thebamboo?""Yes", I replied."When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I tookvery good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliantgreen covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second yearthe Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But Idid not quit on thebamboo. He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bambooseed. But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboosee.I would not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots""I would not quit on the bamboo. I WOULD NEVER QUIT ON YOU.""Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high""How high should I rise" I asked."How high will the bamboo rise" He asked in return."As high as it can" I questioned."Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."I left the forest and bring back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never Give up.

CHANGE
Trying to master or control change is a fool’s game because change is inherently volatile and often totally unpredictable. Success cannot be realized by trying to control or master the unmasterable. But, when we stretch out of the comfort zone by trying to develop a new a new perspective of accepting changes and trying to use them as a tool that can help us grow and learn; our consciousness begins to shift and so does our sense of personal power.
parable from True Prosperity by Yehuda Berg
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every problem is an opportunity to improve our condition.

A HEALING PRESCRIPTION
I gathered a thousand kisses and into this bottle they flew,
Then I wrapped it in some loving hugs — prescribed especially for you:
No moving parts, no batteries; no monthly payments and no fees;
Inflation proof, nontaxable, in fact, it's quite relaxable;
It can't be stolen, won't pollute, one size fits all, do not dilute.
It uses little energy, but yields results enormously.
Relieves your tension and your stress; invigorates your happiness;
Combats depression, makes you beam, and elevates your self esteem!
Your circulation it corrects without unpleasant side effects
It is, I think, the perfect drug — may I prescribe, my friend:
THE HUG!
(And, of course, fully returnable!)

HUGGING
Hugging is good medicine. It transfers energy,
and gives the person hugged an emotional boost.
We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day
for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth."

THINKING POSITIVE
Positive Thinking is benificial to all of us.
It affects how we act & how we deal with things.
It gives you a clearer head, better memory, it makes it easier to make decisions and able to deal with situations, but above all it gives you a better and clearer outlook on life and makes you able to see the good out of the bad.
If you see half a glass of water - do you see it as half empty or half full?
If you see it as half full, you are thinking positive - by thinking positive in all situations, you will find that you will feel happier and appreciate the good things in life.

MEDICAL POINT OF VIEW
From a medical point of view, negative thinking :
1)supresses the immune system
2) raises the blood pressure
3) and creates a general level of stress and fatigue in the body.
In short, infections, cardiovascular irregularities, the degeneration of muscles, and the random growth of unwanted cells get more opportunity.

What's the use of worrying?
It never was worth while.
So, pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag,
And smile, smile, smile.

The $20 dollar bill
Author Unknown, But Greatly Appreciated!
www.positivenews.net
A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you - but first, let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened
or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to God and to those who love you.
The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know,
but by ...WHO WE ARE.

TAKE ACTION TODAY
By Chip Lowell
Once you've decided what you are going to focus on getting from your goals;
thought about what you'll receive as a result of achieving them;
thought about what will happen if you don't;
you need to begin taking action -- TODAY.
Some gurus say just start doing something.
Others say, before you begin, figure out exactly what you'll need to do to get there.
Then start.
Both ways work -- as long as you're willing to review your results daily along the way with short term goals, and weekly on long term goals.
During the review process, you'll see what's working and what's not -- and tweak your actions accordingly.
The bottom line is to take action, today, towards your goals.
Then take more action tomorrow. It's amazing how quickly you'll begin to see results!
Ask youself this question: "What can I do today that will move me closer to achieving my goal of _____ ?" Then guess what? Do it!

Those who love YOU
www.inspirationline.com
If anyone should hurt you and say a thing unkind,Remember what I tell you, and keep these things in mind;
For every 1 who makes you cry, there are 3 who make you smile,
That smile will last a long, long time, and the tear a LITTLE while!
If someone says a thing that's cruel, don't let it get to you —There's so much good about you, and your faults are very few;
Don't let someone who hates the world cause you to hate it too,
For behind the cloud's a golden sun and a sky that's bright and blue!
So if a certain someone should act a certain way ...Just think of THOSE WHO LOVE YOU and don't let it ruin your day

ATTITUDE DETERMINES ATTITUDE
I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important.
My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
